Launch Party!

What a day! Two Tiny Hands raised more than $2000. We will be able to apply for our federal tax code 501c3! We could not have had such a great day without all our support... My BFF's at Sheek Shindigs did a great job decorating and helping with "everything," Kaileen from Kaileen Gailhouse photography came and took some amazing pictures, Mountain Top Cookies donated the best cookies, and tons of friends with even Nana and Papa coming from Arizona to help!
The carnival included a big raffle with lots of restaurants in the area donating gift cards, amazing face painters, a moon bounce, games, and tons of food! We were able to book some Snuggle Parties, get our evite started for Spa night (our next fundraiser) at PR Partners, collect tons of stuffed animals, and also raise $50 for a support group starting in Clinton, Missouri.
My BFF, Laura, was able to create an amazing book for us, "Little Life, Big Life!" Her pictures are amazing and I must say the story is perfect (courtesy of mom). Our brochures are all thanks to Laura. We owe her so much for being able to have everything for the party and the beginnings of our foundation.
My neighbors and friends Merissa and Jessie were amazing and donated Wild Tree and Mary Kay products. Merissa helped out so much getting gift cards from local restaurants and 2 cakes from Costco! Amazing!!
The Glessner family are our close friends who have supported our family through so much. Brian helped with games and our fabulous balloon arch. I am so grateful to have them in our lives, their girls are wonderful and Sara with baby Gigi worked so hard making the day a success!
I'll put more pictures up with lots on our facebook page. Thanks again to all our family and friends for your great support. At the fundraiser we were able to provide several families with care packages with one family finding us through our newspaper article.

Sheek Shindigs!

How lucky I am to have such great friends. I have two wonderful friends who have a party planning and decorating business, Sheek Shindigs. They have donated their services for our launch party and I am so grateful for their support.
Please help me in support them. They are wonderful women with some truly amazing ideas and creations. If you are throwing a party in the Northern Virginia area please contact them. Check out their work on Facebook and on their blog:
Thank you so much Sarah and Sara!

Mommy Spills!

A great friend of mine started a blog called Mommy Spills! She has add Two Tiny Hands to her website and I am so excited to have her support with our foundation.
This woman is not your average mommy. She has started a non-for-profit in Kansas City, MO- Purses for Promise.
Purses of Promise is a non-profit foundation dedicated to brightening the lives of domestic abuse victims in the Kansas City area. We collect gently-used or new handbags, fill them with necessary items and simple pleasures and distribute them to women in domestic abuse shelters. Each gift symbolizes the promise of a new beginning and the hope of a brighter tomorrow.
Now she has the title as an amazing blogger with mommy spills.

With all this she is also wonder mom to two beautiful little girls.
Please take a moment and check out her sites. I am so grateful for her friendship! Having friendships like these always make me think of Ellie. I would have loved for her to have had the opportunity to know true friends.
Thanks Melanie
